The intense preoccupation of unmarried people with how to meet the “right person” reveals the desperate concern to get established in the supposed security and self-esteem of doubleness. But being unmarried from an existential viewpoint is not at all a problem, and it does not mean that an individual is in any way deprived of anything necessary: love, support, guidance, companionship… Being married or coupled is simply an interpersonal arrangement, it’s about lifestyle and details, not an ultimate reality.
